Lovely Henri II Style Double Bed - Circa 1900 - With New Sprung Slatted Base

Henri II style bed - beautifully carved footboard and headboard, lovely nut wood - some of the wood is veneered, but it's still hardwood under the veneer.
Will take a standard double 4 ft 6 mattress (the bed is shown dressed with a standard 4 ft 6 mattress in the photos - mattress not included in sale).

CONDITION

Generally excellent. There is a large piece of veneer missing from the inside of the footboard at the top. Expect to see a few worm holes, but nothing unsightly. The original bun feet on the headboard have been replaced with wooden blocks - this doesn't stand out when the bed is up. The bed fits together well and is sturdy.
