French Antique Iron Beds, Wood Beds & Slatted Bed BasesWelcome to The French Bed Company We sell French antique beds in the UK at competitive prices.
Most
of our items are 'one-offs' and we stock a variety of styles from classic
ornate French to 1970's retro chic. If you need spares for any French antique beds, wooden or brass, check out our current listings of spares or mail us. Finally we have a small stock of mirrors, bedside cabinets and various other items of small furniture and kitchenalia.

Slatted Bed Bases We stock NEW steel framed extendable slatted bed bases which are suitable for most antique double beds, as well as other modern standard sized and odd-sized beds. The width can be set between 85cm (2 ft 9) and 158cm (5ft 2), the length is fixed and suitable for the standard length of 190 cm (6 ft 3). We also stock a 3ft fixed single slatted bed base and a 120 cm fixed slatted bed base. Iron Beds Most of our iron beds can be sandblasted and repainted. Once the bed has been sandblasted it is re-sprayed and heat treated to leave a durable surface. The most popular colours we can offer are black, white, red and cream plus a small selection of other colours. Props For Productions We have supplied major theatre, opera and television productions, if you are looking for props please contact us as we may have unlisted stock suitable for you. Do you sell mattresses ? No, but we can recommend www.bed-e-buys.net a national mattress supplier who can provide standard and odd size mattresses which will fit our beds. Delivery Our standard service will courier your order to you on weekdays between 8am and 4pm. Timed and weekend deliveries are available, but incur a surcharge. Prices with our standard service are £35 for bed bases, and start at £55 for beds. We are open for collection of items by appointment only.
